WHAT IS NEVERLAND TV?

Neverland TV is our ONLINE STUDIO PLATFORM! We have created Neverland TV in order to have a great online platform where we can still run our classes online for our students during this time.

NVL TV is where you’ll access the Zoom links for your online classes as well as the reply for all your classes!

HOW DO I ENROL IN ONLINE COURSES IF I’M A CURRENT STUDENT?

If you are already enrolled in Term 1 2021, NOTHING! Our lovely office team have automatically transferred you into the appropriate Course based on the class you are enrolled in. Check your emails to check the Courses we have enrolled you in and we can adjust.

HOW DO I ENROL IN ONLINE COURSES IF I’M A NEW STUDENT?

If you are new to us, WELCOME! All you need to do is go to our website and sign up as a new student! All of our online course options will be there for you to select, however please note that some classes may be combined due to teacher and space availability. We will be in touch if this affects the class you have enrolled in.

WHAT IS THE NEVERLAND TV TIMETABLE?

Our Online Classes follow the same schedule as our in studio Timetable with just a couple of adjustments due to teachers and space availability. If this affects the class you have enrolled in, we will be in touch.

Once you login to Neverland TV, all your class times will be listed in the courses you’re signed up for.

CAN I JOIN A NEW COURSE HALFWAY THROUGH THE TERM?

Yes! In most cases you are welcome to join any Course at any point of the term, in fact if you are wanting to enrol during the term we encourage you to do so rather than waiting for the next term to start. Just contact our term via EMAIL if you have any questions and we can add you to any new Course.

WHAT IF I MISS THE TIME FOR MY ONLINE CLASS?

No worries! A REPLAY of the online class will be uploaded and can be accessed by your Neverland TV login.

CAN I CANCEL MY NVL ENROLMENT IF I DO NOT WANT TO DO NVL TV?

Please note that as per our T&Cs when enrolling at NVL, refunds and credits will not be provided due to absences due to Covid-19 and lockdowns. As this is the new normal, all classes will continue to run online if we are not able to dance in the studio.

If you are still within your 3 week trial period, cancellations can still be made as per our standard 3 week trial procedures.

DO I NEED A UNIFORM?

During this time, our normal uniform policy will not be enforced. ‘Save the Fuss’ and wear clothing that is comfortable and suitable for your class. E.g. Still wear a leotard and bun for ballet, but it does not have to be Neverland uniform. If you still want to wear your uniform we would love to see you in it.

HOW DO I PAY MY FEES AND WHEN ARE THEY DUE?

Once you are enrolled you will be emailed an invoice and all fees are due on the by your first class. Due to the circumstances, ALL PAYMENTS MUST BE MADE VIA ONLINE BANKING OR EWAY. If your credit card is already saved on our account, then we can process this as usual with your permission. Ask us via email for more information about this to make things even easier!

WHAT DANCE STYLES DO YOU OFFER?

We offer Hip Hop, Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Contemporary and Musical Theatre! If you have no clue as to what style you want to do, please have a chat with us so we can find something you’ll love!

ARE STUDENTS STILL AIMING TOWARDS EXAMS?

Yes! We are continuing as normal. Our normal exam sessions are still planned to go ahead as normal. We will be working towards these in online classes. We will notify all if this changes.

IS THERE STILL AN END OF THE YEAR SHOW?

Yes! At this stage, we are planning for our show to proceed as normal. This may change if government regulations change and we will come up with a new format for our show that allows all our students to have that special performance  time while complying with government regulations.

WHAT ARE YOUR TERM DATES?

2021 Dates
Term 1 – Tue 9th Feb – Sat 17th April (10 Weeks)

Term 2 – Mon 10th May – Sat 10th July (9 Weeks)

Term 3 – Mon 2nd Aug – Sat 2nd Oct  (9 Weeks)

Term 4 – Mon 18th Oct – Sat 11th Dec (8 Weeks)

WHAT ARE YOUR OFFICE HOURS?

Due to the nature of our business, our office hours vary day to day depending on class times, however you can be certain to catch us at the office during Term dates Monday – Friday 3pm – 7:30pm and Saturday 9am – 1pm (11am for East Branch).

WHAT DANCE STYLES DO YOU OFFER?

We offer Hip Hop, Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Contemporary and Musical Theatre! If you have no clue as to what style you want to do, please have a chat to us so we can find something you’ll absolutely love!

HOW OLD DO YOU HAVE TO BE TO DANCE AT NEVERLAND?

We offer classes from 18 months all the way up to adult!

Simply click the ENROL tab on our website and follow the instructions, or pop by the office and we can enrol you right there and then!

I’VE NEVER DANCED BEFORE, WHAT CLASS SHOULD I JOIN?

Whatever your ability is, we have a class for you! Our classes are based on age, so have a look at our timetable to find a class for your age group. If you’re not sure about what style you want to enrol in please visit us at the office and have a chat with us! You can also trial a couple of classes to find something that’s just right!

CAN I JOIN HALFWAY THROUGH THE TERM?

Yes! In most cases you are welcome to join a class at any point of the term, in fact if you are wanting to enrol during the term we encourage you to do so rather than waiting for the next term to start. Our teachers will help you get up to speed with the work so you’ll fit right in!

WHAT IF I CHANGE MY MIND?

You have 3 weeks from your first class of the term to change your enrolment. If the class doesn’t quite suit you, please have a chat to us so we can find a style/teacher/time that will make you happy and excited about dancing! Please note no refunds will be given if the changes are made after the 3-week period.

DO I NEED A UNIFORM?

Yes, all of our classes except Adult Dance and Advanced Hip Hop require a uniform. The uniform can be purchased from the office. You have 3 weeks from your first class to get yourself into uniform. Check out our Uniform page for info

DO YOU OFFER TRIALS?

Yes you can trial any class before joining! Trials are $15 for Pre School/ Toddler or $20 for every other class. This payment will go towards your term fees if you end up enrolling! (Please note there are no trial lessons in Term 1; students will need to enrol for the term to secure their spot in the class.)

DO I NEED TO RE-ENROL AT THE BEGINNING OF EACH TERM?

No, you will be automatically re-enrolled for the following term during the year. So you just need to pay the term fees and show up to class!

However for each new year, re-enrolment is required as our timetables changes and your dancer may move up a class.

WHAT IF I’M NOT PLANNING ON COMING BACK NEXT TERM?

We will be so sad to see you leave but if this is your decision you need to notify us and un-enrol. Your enrolment will remain active and you will continue to be charged for the classes until you do this.

HOW DO I PAY MY FEES AND WHEN ARE THEY DUE?

Once you are enrolled, you will be emailed an invoice. All fees are due before your first class and can be paid at the office (eftpos, credit card or cash is accepted), internet transfer (just remember to use the students name as a reference!), or via your saved Credit Card on your account. Ask us in the office about Auto-billing to make things even easier!

WHAT HAPPENS IF I MISS A CLASS?

Unfortunately we don’t offer make up classes or refunds if you miss a class unless it is for sickness and you can provide a medical certificate.

WHAT HAPPENS IF A CLASS IS CANCELLED?

In the rare case of a class being cancelled we will always organise a make up class, which usually takes place during the first week of the holidays at the usual class time. If a make up class cannot be organised, we will credit your account to the value of the class that was cancelled.

WHAT IF THE CLASS I WANT TO ENROL IN IS FULL?

We will always try our best to find a class for you, however if the class you want is full, you can be added to the waitlist! This means that if a spot opens up you will be the first to know about it!

DO YOU DO EXAMS? WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW IF I WANT TO DO EXAMS?

Yes! We do exams for Jazz (GDQ) and Ballet (RAD). Exams for Jazz are usually held during Term 2 holidays, and Ballet exams are usually held in Term 3 or Term 4. Teachers will select the students that can sit the exams in Term 1. One class a week is required for juniors and 2 classes a week is required for Int- Senior students. If you are interested in doing exams please talk to us at the office or to your teacher. We will give you more details on the exam process and what you are required to do to get yourself ready.

HOW DO I JOIN A CREW OR A TROUPE?

If you want to take your dancing to the next level, Neverland Extend and Crews is definitely the way to go! We have auditions for crews and troupes at the end of every year and sometimes throughout the year as well! Be sure to follow our Facebook and Instagram to be the first to know about them! Please have a chat to our office staff or to your teacher about this as we always want to support the growth of our dancers and will give you honest advice about what is needed to grow as a dancer.

WHEN IS THE END OF YEAR SHOW?

2021 SHOWS: Friday 3rd Dec – Sunday 5th Dec (6 shows over 3 days)

WHAT IS INVOLVED IN THE SHOW PROCESS? ARE THERE EXTRA REHEARSALS?

You will learn your show dances during your normal class time in Term 3 and 4. During the week of 22nd November – 28th November 2021 your normal classes will be replaced by studio rehearsals, which is where all classes will come together and run the dances like they would in the show, in full costume! During the week of 29th November – 2nd December 2021 your normal classes will be replaced by theatre rehearsals held at the Bruce Mason Centre in Takapuna. A schedule for this will be sent out closer to the time.
